Research

Conservation genetics group focuses on conservation genetics, immunogenetics, and ecological studies involving endangered and rare species, e.g. grey wolf Canis lupus. We apply a variety of techniques, including microsatellite DNA markers, mtDNA, and immune-related genes (e.g. MHC). The research also uses more ecological methodologies, and frequently involves fieldwork. Our group works with a wide array of sample material, such as tissue, urine, faecal and hair samples.
